happy sunday, everyone! the cocoa daisy reveal was last night and this kit is an AWESOME one! lots of blues, aquas, oranges, greys and neutrals! i LOVE it! there are quite a bit of travel items, but, honestly, you can use it all for non travel projects. my layouts are not really travel. wanna see?
this one was made with about 99% from the Patina add on. i added mist, shipping tags and a few mini alphas from the main kit.
this next one is about annie. she's the sweet girl who i had the pleasure of photographing all last year (i do a year long package for kids). she's adorable and i can't wait for her baby brother to arrive this fall. :)
she's not really a pistol. she's actually a pretty great little model. (oh, an i filled in a little washi tape from the embellishment pack in that little trapped space next to the label and her photo)
i also used that cute "you are here" stamp from the map set.
this last one is, sort of, a travel one. just a little bit about my very favorite travel companion. ;)
i loved the wood veneers in the main kit and the pack of cameras in the embellishment kit. oh, and those heidi swapp banners in the Patina add on, LOVE. they are glittery, too. :)
the rest of the design team did an amazing job this month. go check them out here. and, if you're not currently a subscriber, the kits and stamps will be available on the 1st.
have an awesome sunday! i'm off to work later this afternoon.
good morning! i hope you have all had a great week! i've been super busy with life and trying to get projects done for the reveal at cocoa daisy tomorrow.
i'm here this morning with a few sneaks of my pages. full pages will be posted after the reveal tomorrow night.
this page is 99% from the Patina add on. can i just say how much i LOVE this add on? LOVE IT!!! you really don't want to miss out!
i think i iused everything on this one. the main, the embellishment kit, patina and the paper add on. (that stick pin is from a previous CD kit. i didn't really know what to do with them then and this month used several. LOL!)
again, a mix of all the kits and, i used a stamp from one of the add on stamps this month.
btw, you're going to want to sign up for the stamp sub. great stuff is coming ! ;)
have a fabulous friday and don't forget the cocoa daisy reveal tomorrow night. 9PM EST.
good morning and happy friday! this will be my final installment of my CHA summer 2012 favorites. i'm sure there are more scrappy things out there i will love and want, but this fun little series is coming to an end with this post. that being said, this will be the last post to get your comments/entries into my little giveaway. you will have until monday morning to get your name in the hat for some fun scrappy products and, just maybe, a little starbucks love. ;)
before i move into more fabulous scrappy products, i wanted to share with you the little canvas i made for the tattered angels booth at cha.
it's so hard to see how shimmery and glimmery it is in real life in these photos. trust me though. it SHINES! like the sun! :)
ok, back to the cha faves...
dear lizzy... liz kartchner and american crafts have done it again. i just LOVE this new line from dear lizzy.
such lovely patterns and colors.
another roller date stamp to add to my collection. :)
love these tags and the daybook.
i really NEED that green chevron album! :)
and, these, too... the stitched garlands are such a good deal. they are super long and already stitched, which saves you so much time and thread and frustration! well worth the cost!
next up, basicgrey...
soleil... LOVE this line! i heard it was designed by the fabulous sassafras team and that explains a lot! i loved sassafras. especially toward the end and i love all the stuff they design for studio calico. so, it's no big surprise i love this line!
serenade... vintage and trendy at the same time. enough said...
aspen frost... those of you that know me, know my all time favorite christmas line EVER was Fruitcake. oh, Fruitcake, i miss you. i am hoarding my last few pieces of your fabulous papers and using snips and scraps of you in each of my christmas books each year. i'm always on the lookout for the opportunity to add a vintage piece of you to my collection. (i still found some a year ago in a little shop in portland). i just LOVE fruitcake (the line, not the holiday cake) and i love that basicgrey has continued to design holiday lines that still have te same feel and colors as fruitcake and her fabulous sisters to follow.
extra points (and maybe a little prize) if you can name all of the basicgrey holiday lines, in order. :)
all of this being said, aspen frost will find her way into my holiday paper collection and into my holiday book this year and years to come. LOVE it! :)
glitz... this cashmere dame line is so fun. love the colors and the patterns.
and, i love the tape...
last, but certainly not least, we have a couple stamps sets from tim holtz... these are genius! holiday blueprint stamps! i think these smaller ones will need to come home to me. these larger christmas one are fabulous, too.
so cool! a little vintage and a lot trendy. i think i might have just hit on something. a couple words to describe my style. my scrappy style. a little bit trendy and and a little bit vintage... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm something to think about.
alright. have a fabulous day! don't forget to share your faves with me in the comments to get your name in the drawing for a little package of scrappy goodness and a little starbucks love. oh, and don't forget the extra credit basicgrey challenge above. i will draw one name from all the correct answers.
it's raining today and i'm off to have lunch with a few ladies in the family.
good morning, all! my august box from christine has arrived on my doorstep and i couldn't be a happier girl! this month is filled with all kinds of travely goodness. i LOVE travel stuff! even if i don't travel a lot. i find it very universal and easy to use for everyday stuff, too.
wanna see some sneaks?
santa fe sunset is the main kit.
U R here is an awesome mini book project kit christine is putting together. i am loving the sneaks of her book she has been sharing on the CD blog.
patina is such a fun add on. (i got this one!)
i love everything in the embellishment pack. (i couldn't resist and got it, too)
golden dawn is the patterned paper add on. LOVE.
and the stamps. oh, the stamps are amazing! that map one is so cool! :)

ok. more cocoa daisy to come later in the month. the full reveal will be on the 28th and you just might see a few more sneaks here before then. :)
have a fabulous thursday. i'm off to the allergy doctor this morning. :( hopefully we can find out what put me in the hospital a few weeks ago so i can avoid it in the future.
ps. more CHA faves to come before the week is done. don't forget i am drawing a winner for a giveaway from all of the CHA posts.
good morning! i'm sorry i did not get back here on monday morning with more faves. i've had a crazy week! i do promise to have a little giveaway from all of the comments on my CHA favorites posts, so make sure you are getting your name in the hat. :)
back to talking about my faves.
next up, pink paislee... city sidewalks just might ne my favorite christmas line and, you just might see quite a bit of it in my christmas book this year! :)
i can totally see that big ole "25" on the cover, somehow. :)
these tags are perfect for a little journaling in the december project. oh boy. christmas in july! this is when i usually start to get excited about what project i am going to be working on in december and when i start planning it all out.
this portfolio line from pink paislee is definitely a must have. the 6x9 album is my favorite!
can't wait to add a little glimmer mist to these!
moving on to more crate paper... i love all the teal in this holiday line from crate.
i'll finish off today's faves with a little echo park...
i am LOVING this new line from allison kreft. she brought her hambly fabulousness to echo park! yay!
the 2 new For The Record lines are so fun, too! this one is called documented.
this one is called tailored. fun stuff, right?
ok. that's all the cha for today. what favorites are you just waiting to purchase? i am taking comments all week for entries into a drawing for a fun giveaway at the end of the week.
have a great day! (i'll have a cocoa daisy august sneak peek later today!)
originally, i was going to just do 1 CHA favorites post and then i looked at my cha summer 2012 pinterest board and realized i need to do a couple posts. to not overwhelm... LOL! and, for me, it's a short list this time around. the trouble is, i have "go to" companies and they, alone, have me filling up my wishlist and emptying my wallet. LOL!
this one might just be my FAVORITE line of them all this time around. all of the others having me picking an choosing favorite pieces. this line is one of those "i want it ALL!" kind of lines for me. i won't bore you with it all but i will share a few favorite favorites. :)
i think i need 10 of this paper alone. :)
LOVE the thickers! especially the gold and the multi ones.
i have always loved their retail lines and this round does not disappoint. i really love all of the mini album (6x8) goodies. would be awesome for a december daily or journal your christmas.
this roller stamp is my favorite item at the entire show! i have always been a fan of date stamps and these new roller stamps are super cool. this one is the best! arrows, triangles, stars, hexes and instagram. what could be better?
this set will be mine, too. love the arrows, feather, hexes and photography themes. :)
these will be perfect in my holiday book. (whichever style i choose)
these mistable feathers will be found on a few tattered angels projects, i'm sure. :)
looks like i'm going to need to expand that stencils and masks storage book i made a few weeks ago. :)
numbers, clips, PERFECT!
and, who doesn't need a grey thicker or 12? :)
ok. that's enough for today. i'll be back tomorrow with a few more picks. looks like this might be a week long series.
what's your favorite line or product you've seen from this week's show? there might just be a prize at the end of the week from all the comments...
today i've got my june projects for tattered angels. in june the technique was using stencils and masks and the theme was everyday summer.
here you go. enjoy...
i used a couple stencils on this one and a few colors of glimmer mist and glimmer glaze. also used some gesso for the star texture. this was fun. :)
then i made this cute banner for a frame i got at the thrift store in lynden a loooooonnnngggg time ago.
i used modeling paste with the stencils on canvas banner pieces from canvas corp and then misted them with glimmer mist, after the paste was dry. i love that i can change out the photos each summer. :)
my last project was a little card.
the clouds were made by misting a piece of card stock with the chevron stencil and then i stamped another section of the cardstock with the stencil and the glimmer mist that was left on it from the previous spray. (does that make sense?)
the cute little bag, from canvas corp was misted with glimmer mist, too. in my favorite color, sun sisters. :)
hello. hello. hello. i hope all of you in the US had a great 4th yesterday. i did not. :( i woke up with a headache that just would not go away. and, as usual, i got a little throwy uppy. boo! i hate headaches.
i just posted a mini book on the cocoa daisy blog today and wanted to share it with you all, too. although, you should add the CD blog to your reader. the girls are posting great stuff every day. here's a link, if you don't have it.
i used the july kit and the add ons to create this one. the cover is made from the jenni bowlin packaging in the embellishment kit. then i traced it to make a back cover and the pages. super easy and super cute. :)
instagram photos were printed at printstagram. have you tried them? i love the quality. it's takes a little extra time to get them (they are printed out of the country) but, it was so worth the wait. :)
have a great thrusday. i'm hoping to go have lunch with my mama. :)
