tea & cupcakes | january 2012 cocoa daisy kit...

good morning, all! last night the january kit was revealed at cocoa daisy and it's a GOOD one! it's all about bringing some color to an otherwise gray january. (not that i don't LOVE a good gray) and, as you all are aware, sassafras is no longer manufacturing scrapbooking product. so, christine wanted to give us all a little more sass before it's gone for good. because i don't know about you, but i'm going to miss some of that cool sassafras product.

subscribers should have gotten your emails last night for the presale. the rest of you will be able to get your goods on the 1st. :) and, you are definitely going to want to scoop up these goods. 

don't forget about the stamps. there is one in the kit and the rest are ala carte. keeps the cost of the add ons down and allows you to get the stamps you want. and, you are going to want these stamps! my favorite is the instax photo frame.

there is also a cute cupcake and sprinkles stamp set.

good morning! and, it's finally here! LOL! (actually, i finally got it photographed)

forgot to take photos on the 15th, so, i made another snowflake with the stencil that came in the merry and bright kit from cocoa daisy.

that's all for today. i'm still plugging along with both books. i've got my lists and i will finish and will continue to post until the end. (hope you don't mind a little holiday lag over.)

I just wanted to take a moment and address some of the comments we've received in regard to the boxes. The description of the sale, is literal.... "Wendy is cleaning house". This was truly a Warehouse/Garage Sale just as it is described. I want valued customers like yourself to be happy with the volume of product you receive in the box. The box contains lots of Vintage Tattered Angel Products, along with other manufacturers products collected from years gone by that we still felt had value to a consumer.

There is an image on our web site to show you an idea of what you would receive and also give you a general feel for what is included in your kit. Some of the products are not "New" packaged product, nor are we saying that they are.

As shown in the image on our website and compared to what you actually receive, these boxes have a amazing value. We included extra products that were not even listed in kit details just because we wanted to give you more bang for your buck. For example two Glimmer Screens are shown in the picture and we send 15+ screens in the largest kit giving it an extra added value of $30.00.

I have addressed the quality of packaging with my staff and have resolved any concerns about future shipments with possible damage to contents. We will certainly replace any item that was damaged, please just submit an image of damaged item so we can view damage and identify the product. We will try to replace with the same item but if its not in stock we will substitute with a similar item.

As for the paper we shipped with the kits, we added these packs as an added value, Please remember this is a warehouse sale and we are a manufacturer and not a retail store, so we sell in bulk. We have an ABUNDANCE of paper in our warehouse that we felt still had a value to a consumer instead of recycling the paper we would just send them in the kits as "give a ways" . If we were going to include them as a selling factor for the kits we would have taken the time to sort 1 sheet per paper and we would have listed the paper as various styles.

Again please accept our apology and know this is our 1st sale and we are learning many things from having this sale.

a break in the christmas hoopla...

i have so many things i haven't shared here, i thought i'd slide in a little non christmas post in amongst all the hoopla! ;)

days 02-04 | JYC...

good morning all! how are you all doing on your journal your christmas projects? i know some of you are doing december daily instead and, as you know, i am doing both this year. i have done them both before, but in a combo album (2009). this year i am doing 2 different books. and, i am almost caught up. yay me!

today i want to share days 2-4 of my JYC book. for awhile now i have been dropping hints about the size of this book. the size will explain why i will be posting days 3 at a time. you see, julie and i found these really cool vintage binders at an antique show in october. they are standard 3 ring, but they are unique in their size. instead of 8.5x11, they are 17x11. wow! right? well, i could not do 17x11 size pages each day. so, after a lot of thought and brainstorming with julie, i came up with a plan. we found some thin chipboard perfectly sized to fit in the binders. 17x11. good start. i decided that i could do 3 pages on the front and 3 on the back of each of these BIG pages. i wanted to add a little variety, so, i added some 8.5x11 baseball card pages in between and a 6x12 (stitched and cut down) to the front and the back. make sense? LOL! i know it's a lot without seeing the pages.

here we go!

day 2...

i used the stencil from the merry & bright kit and just covered it in versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. it's messy, but i LOVE it!

i'm thinking you are going to see a lot of this red tape from hambly. :) (wish i had more)

i don't have my cards done yet, but they will be handmade. journaling is inside of the card.

good morning!

here's my manifesto page for my JYC book.

i printed out the manifesto like a photo and handled it that way. as you can see there are a lot of my current loves here. machine stitching, doily, chevrons, glassine paper and gray mist. it's a good start. i'm happy with it. :)

now, the other book...

i've got it going and i took photos today and readied them to be printed.

i used the cool snowflake stencil in the merry & bright kit at cocoa daisy. misted it with the white studio calico mister huey that came in the merry & bright kit, too. i wanted more definition of the snowflake, so, i outlined it with a white pen. uniball signo. they are my favorite. added a pink snowflake a a little flair button from marcy penner.

oh, and i machine stitched the edges before gluing the paper to the super thick chipboard that came in the merry & bright kit.

only trouble i'm having, the mister huey is a little chalky and wants to rub off, like a chalkboard. any ideas for sealing it, out there? :)

december is finally here!!!! woohoo!!! that means a new banner (which i am still unsure of) and journal your christmas & december daily. (yes, i'm crazy and i'm doing 2 books)

first things first. 

this morning shimelle sent out a little commitment card for us to print and post.
