good morning! happy thursday! the weekend is almost here. well, 2 more days of work, after today and then it's the weekend! woohoo!!!
i was going to post peeks of these banners yesterday, from sassafras, but my computer was fighting me, just a wee bit, and i ran out of time. so, here's the banner love. i just LOVE these sheets of banner stickers from sass. so cute! so convenient. and, there are so many on the sheet so they are a super good value!
cute stuff, right? :)
and, another page for shimelle's class. another random 9x9 page using a sketch from class. ok. off to get ready for work! have a great day!
ps. don't forget to leave a comment on this post to be entered in the giveaway. :)
woohoo! it's studio calico reveal day! hopefully, i will be able to get the stamps, paper and punch i want. here's what is in store for august... the elk lake and sugar woods add ons look awesome, too. oh, the decisions...
2 more layouts for shimelle's class... i am having fun using her sketches to fill my random layouts 9x9 book. :)
and, don't forget the giveaway on this post. i'm leaving it until the end of the week and then will pick a winner.
it's finished!!!! yay!!! when i started this project, weeks ago, i never thought it would evolve into such a book. a time consuming labor of love. i am sooooooooooooo happy it's done and i LOVE it. LOVE.
you wanna see???? :)
(sorry about the photos. they see a little cool, but the colors are very close to correct.) wow! that's a lot of photos! if you made it this far, thank you! LOL! i had to switch out the little binder rings for jute. they were too small and bigger ones were too thick and the pages did not lay right. i think the jute is perfect. :)
let me know what you think...
and, the giveaway below will continue through this week. all you have to do to be entered is share a link of something you LOVE that is coming out at cha this week. just make sure your comment with the link is on the giveaway post below. thanks for all of your shares. i am loving them.
more scrappiness to come this week. (i was very productive this weekend)
happy friday, all! i'm soooooooooo glad it's almost the weekend. just one more day of work, after today, and i'm so ready for those 2 whole days off!!!!
for those of you waiting for the abc book, i'm not quite done. i'm through "r" and "s" is really stumbling me up because there are soooooooooooooo many "s" words on the list and i can't cut any out. LOL! so, i decided to share a few peeks with you of what i have done. does that sound fair? i will probably have it complete by the end of my weekend and can post the full finished book on monday or tuesday.
here's an idea of what the photo pages look like.
full book view.
the fronts of the tags i've done so far...
and the backs...
and a few more summer CHA faves...
october afternoon: modern homemaker LOVE the colors!
cosmo cricket: little letters & numbers cosmo cricket: togetherness i really LOVE these colors. the rest of the new cosmo just did not do it for me. too much purple. help me out here. is purple a new fave of scrapbook product designers? i am just NOT a fan of purple.
that's all the CHA faves for today. tell me about the new stuff coming out that you MUST HAVE or are just loving. hook me up with a link in the comments. there just might be a little something from starbucks in it for you... ;) (yep. it's another giveaway)
on monday i decided to stop in at a local thrift store that is VERY hit or miss. usually miss, but the occasional hit keeps me checking back in. on monday, it was definitely a HIT!!!
meet my gray typewriter... he's a little super cutie smith corona. maybe from the 50s or 60s. he's clean. he works. and, best of all, he was super cheap! score!!!! he even had a brother that lives at julie's house now, mr brown typewriter.
i took a few more vintage camera shots last night, too. i just LOVE all of my cameras. LOVE. thanks, jules. (she's found most of them for me.) i love the sun in these photos. so pretty. and, the land camera polaroid might even work, if i could find some film. :)
and, here's peek at my favorite new line from pink paislee. ok. i've gotta get ready for work. have a great day, everyone.
ps. stay tuned for the "abc's of portland" mini book. it's totally complete through "n" right now.
the weekend is over and it's back to work today. boo. oh well, we gotta eat and scrap, right? LOL!
yesterday i continued to work on my abc's book. it's getting close. it takes time to do all those journaling tags for each letter. but, as promised, i'll be done by the end of the week and will post here for you all to see.
yesterday, i went to lunch with these 2 cute girls... yep. they are just as fun as they look. :) (the first shot is my favorite. don't you love when impromptu turns out perfect?)
and, i have a couple more cha favorite sneaks for you from studio calico (have i said how much i love them?) rub on ledger stars
good morning! i hope you all had a fabulous weekend. i went to a fun crop at treasury on friday night. julie & i mostly ate (after we finally found some salt) and visited with some awesome ladies we hadn't seen in quite some time. :)
i did work a wee bit on this... i got all the photos cut on friday night and a plan started. i worked a lot on it yesterday, too. all the photos are in and now i'm working on the journaling tags. i should have it done and posted here by the end of the week. (keep checking back in...)
i don't know about you, but i am super excited for some new scrappy stuff to come out this fall. cha is this month and the peeks are starting to flow and i'm finding some cool stuff that will make it's way into my stash. want to see????
my FAVORITE kit club wows us again with their new retail line, elementary, and new stamps and rubs and wood veneer stickers! woohoo!!! the doilies stamp set
the jet setter stamp set
the photo labels stamp set
and mists!!! opaque white & cream. perfect gray & brown! woohoo!
next up is crate paper. restoration. if i could marry a paper line, this one would be in a gray tux in no time at all! LOL! see what i mean????
next up is sassafras lass. indie girl has stolen my heart. especially these banner stickers. yum!
be still my little scrapbook loving heart! :) i think that's enough for now. i'll be sharing more this week. keep checking back in. :)
have a great monday! i'm off to bellingham this morning, which includes a lunch date with my favorite girls, julie & miss belle.
but i think the android app, retro camera, will do me just fine. :) it's not as versatile as the hipstamatic app on the iphone, but there are several different camera types you can take photos with and the sizes are big enough to print. and, since i work at t-mobile, the iphone is NOT anoption. LOL!
more fun photos for shimelle's class... now i need to take more of all my other cameras in my collection. :)
good morning! hope you are all well this morning! :)
a couple of my friends are going on a mission trip in august to haiti. they are currently in a fund raising frenzy and this week they are holding an amazing blog auction.
go here to read their story and to participate in the auction. they've got some cool stuff on the list of auction items. handmade home decor items, custom invitations, custom vinyl from treasury of memories and lots of other cool stuff. you really should go check it out. they are doing something great here. :)
and, another little layout for shimelle's class.
this photo was taken during out "finding light" assignment.
ok. i've got a lot to do before i head out to work this morning. have a great wednesday!
i had one of the most laid back 4th of july holiday weekends, ever, this past weekend. on one hand, it, almost, seemed boring. but, on the other hand, it was very relaxing. a little too cold, but, we're making up for it this week....
here's a birthday card i made this week for my sweet friend, colleen. i hope she had a fabulous day yesterday. she deserves it.
when those brads came in the mail, as a freebie with one of my orders, i knew exactly what i was going to do with them. you see, colleen is a flip flop wearing girl who is obsessed with hawaii. perfect, right? :)
have a great day! it's supposed to be in the 80s today. stay cool.
Etsy gets my vote ... I know it's an easy answer - but there's SO much to check out!!http://www.etsy.com/category/vintage Posted by:jen| July 01, 2010 at 06:28 AM

now, it's july and that means a new banner and a new class brought to us by shimelle. i can't wait to get started! how many of you are joining us this time? :)
it's not too late to sign up, if you're still on the fence. i know you won't be disappointed.
i hope all of the US ladies out there had a happy fourth of july weekend. it was pretty low key around here. spent saturday with my mom, having breakfast, shopping (a little) and taking a few photos. yesterday, i went to mom's to pick raspberries (YUM) and then, steve and i grilled some burgers at home. pretty uneventful, i know, but i'm an early riser and the fireworks shows don't start around here until 1030pm (we're way up north LOL!) and it's tough to stay awake that late. HAHA!
ok. off to enjoy my last day off of my long weekend. enjoy your monday.
happy friday, everyone!!! i'm so glad my LONG weekend is finally here!!! woohoo! who doesn't love a long holiday weekend???? don't know all my plans, yet, but fun will be had. what plans do you have for the holiday weekend?
back to the documentation... i finally got may done just in the nick of time. these pages were finished just a few days before july came upon me. whew... :) i've got a new class starting on monday and a project to make for treasury before then so, i'm glad to have may done. i hate getting behind on these documentation projects. :)
as usual, page 4 is based on a sunday sketch from studio calico's blog and i included the sketch below, too. :)
the envelope page...
the 4x6 page protector page (front)
the 4x6 page protector page (back)
