from Stormy and the rest of our little family. i hope it has been a good one for all of you. we've had lots of trick or treaters all night long. yay! get rid of most of the candy. i heard a statistic today that the US spent over $2 billion on halloween candy in 2005! that's just crazy! CRAZY!

what a fun morning we had at treasury on saturday morning. we did costumes & crafts for the kids. elke had some fun crafts and treats for the kids and carly did a photo shoot of all the cuties in their costumes. i was her assistant. in other words, i did my best to make the kids smile and have a good time. i think we did pretty good. i think the sparkley purple cat ears helped! ;) So, here we are, minus one kitty (carly). i think i git a few photos for my jack book. more to come tomorrow, i;m sure!

so, after talking about it for years, i finally got to go to the local pumpkin patch. wow! it was quite a place. not just a pumpkin patch. it was almost like a fall fair. there were tons of people there with all their little kids taking tons of photos! a scrapbooker's paradise! my mom went with me and we had a great time, until the incident. LOL! now that i think about it, it was a little funny, but at the time, no fun at all. i was so so beyond mad! mad at myself! mad at the people who didn't help! just mad! i don't want to go into the gory details, but let's just say i took a spill and busted my pumpkin and really hurt my left knee. stupid klutzy move, alissa! oh well, something to remember the day by, i guess... we ran into julie and her family and i got this cute shot of ian.

i've got to get making some chili and work on some halloween cards before i head off to treasury for a fun staff meeting.

so, i totally lifted this idea from an awesome pea over at 2peas and i totally love how it turned out! i can't wait to take photos this year to fill it up. it's one of the making memories chipboard jack o'lanterns cut in half for the covers and cardstock for the pages and i even cut a couple pages out of the mm packaging because it was so cute! after i did that , i saw that jamie waters did the same thing on a page in the mid month garden! you know what they say about great minds? LOL! whatever, she's a genius and i just got lucky!
so, what are your plans for halloween? we're having a costumes and crafts day on the 28th at treasury and i'm helping carly with the annual photo shoot we do of the kids in their costumes. YAY! should be a fun time! everyone who works that day is required to wear a costume and i think i can get some fun photos for my little jack book, don't you think?
well, i better get ready for work. only 1 more day at 5am! YAY! peace out, chicks!

our guest designer challenge this month at busy bee was brought to us by the fabulous falyn cahall and the challenge was to scrap what we fear. it was a tough one. i mean, i fear lots of things. bridges over water, scary movies(for the most part), losing my camera or my phone (LOL) and many other silly things. but, none of these were really scrapworthy, know what i mean? so, this is what i came up with. you see, ever since i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, i've been battling with my body and right now, it's winning and my greatest fear right now is that it will win the war. i'm doing my very best to not let that happen, but life can be frustrating. don't get me wrong! i will never give up! i won't lose this one, i'm just fearful that i might.

so, i told you all that i made my mama a bunch of things for her birthday that she loved. YAY! love when a homemade gift is loved! :) (hint to those of you that i will be giving homemade gifts to... ;) ) i also said i would share a few of them with you and thought i'd post the little mini book i made. i cannot take credit for this project. it's the project of the month from treasury that my very talented friend kim designed this month. the kit comes with the album covers and pages, pattern paper to embellish, the die cut brackets, a text sheet, rhinestones and the die cut pieces of the easel. it was so fun and quick to put together for my mama. here are a few shots and i'll include a link to the full book.

so, we got the new ki in the store this week and it has just about flown out the door! such cute stuff, though! i so love the chipboard goodies and the test tubes! the glitter brads are sweet! i think i'm gonna do a thanksgiving mini book with all the yum-o stuff. i've got the perfect photo for the chipboard turkey on the scalloped platter! gobble gobble!
this cute girl is tammy! she's loving the new ki, too! :) how could she not?

turned out great! i think she had a good time and i know i did. mom, wes & i went to white rock, bc for our usual breakfast at poultry in motion and then off to white mountain ice cream for some seattle's best coffee. oh, and mama got to open her gifts. YAY! she loved them all! the waitress in PIM was impressed, too. LOL! next we took loads of photos and i finally got her on these steps for a little photo shoot. so so fun! these steps are all mosaic tiles on every step! so sweet!
ok, i better get going. i've gotta make some dinner and i just got 2 requests for LOs for the Feb 2007 Scrapbook Trends! YAY!

today is my mama's birthday and i want to make her day super fun and not sad. she's been having a tough time with this one and she shouldn't be. it's just another birthday. a fun day to celebrate your birth, not to worry about getting older and dying. we're going to White Rock to have our favorite Mashady omelet at poultry in motion and then who knows! some photos for sure and a yummy dessert i got for her to help celebrate. i sure hope she loves all the things a made for her! ;) i'll post some photos later, she might be peeking on her now! i love you, mama! you are one amazing lady! don't ever forget that!

good morning, chicks! it's a new week and a new month and that means new stuff from the booya girls at busy bee! this month's reality 101 theme was scrap your messiest room. ever since stormy came to live with us, there aren't a lot of messes at our house and especially in my scraproom. this photo was pre-stormy. patty never messed with anything. honestly, i don't think she could have jumped up on the table! LOL! the 2nd page is my favorite. this is elke. she's my scrapping friend who has trouble getting to the actual scrapping. she loves looking through her photos. i think she actually made copies of her photos this last time. :) LYLT, Elke Girl! :)
