starbucks drive in and a preview...

yesterday, the starbucks I visit everyday had a little run in with a rental car driven by a 70 year old man from texas. the big starbucks on bakerview lost. 3 customers and 2 employees were sent to the hospital. thankfully, all are ok, but what about that man from texas? where is he at today? he launched his rental car into the big starbucks and ran into the wall at the back of the store. here are a couple photos. i'm still in disbelief.

they were open this morning. :)

coupeville, ny pizza and class registration...

i had a great weekend! my mom and i headed down whidbey island on saturday to meet up with becky novacek. although i have known becky for quite some time, we think about 6 years, i had never met her in person. i jumped at the chance when she said she was coming out here on vacation. i took my mama so becky could take some photos of us and i wanted to spend the day with her. since i have to work on mother's day, that was our time. :) all day on saturday. i can't wait to see the photos b took. here's one of becky and i that her super sweet hubby, tom, took.

after becky and tom, mom and i went down to the wharf in coupeville. wow! i had never been down there and it's so cool! here's a few favorite shots.

on friday, yes i'm going backwards, i went to lynden to get my oil changed on my car and had lunch with julie and ian. we went to NY pizza because i had been wanting to try the place out for quite awhile. i ordered a calzone and it was huge!

the only problem was i ordered pepperoni and artichokes. it came with pepperoni and jalapenos! gads!!! they were super nice about it and i will go back. :)

and lastly, the karen russell photography class registration was yesterday morning. i was a little worried, but took my break just early enough to get logged in. i got in the first class! it starts on june 2 and i can't wait! julie, carly and patti are in it too! :)

almost national scrapbook day...

i wont be at any crops tomorrow to celebrate. i will shop a little bit at TOM (great sale going on tomorrow, if you are in the area). i should be in la conner, wa at the tulip festival. and, if all things go right, i should be meeting up with becky for the first time irl. i've spoken with her on the phone and emailed her over the years. we were on a couple dts together and even though those DT experiences were not the best, i came out of it with some amazing friends and b is one of them! :)

so, in honor of NSD, here are a few layouts i haven't gotten to posting.

it's friday and i'm off to take my car in for an oil change and lunch with jules and ian. should be a fun afternoon.

i took a lot of photos...

on the 25th. i created a photo album for april down on the left. i think i will make one for each month. just to keep them organized. there were a few that i really liked. here's a favorite.

now i just need to get them printed and put them in the book i did for this project.

but the real news is i got to see sweet hannah yesterday. now she is one week old and cuter than ever! although, you can't really get much cuter!

here's one more. i don't know which is cuter. what do you think?

i got an email today from shimelle. she's got a new "class" starting this month. basically, you take pictures all day on the 25th of the month each month for the next 12 months and scrap them during the interim. fun right? :) so, if i manage to remember each month you should see this pic posted on the 24th each month.

FINALLY!!! i'm a great auntie, again! i think she's number 7! crazy, eh? i got a call from steve's mom and my niece. libby said she was long and skinny and pink! :) that's a great sign, right? pink! i can't wait to go see her tomorrow! i think i might go in a little early  to work so i can take a longer lunch at the hospital. pics are coming. i promise! :)
